after hours of stumbling around in a php and css daze, i am finally moving this site over to a wordpress-based blog. so if you have are following this as a feed, like i know you do, make sure you update that bookmark, lest you miss a post. when you find something broken in the new site, and there is good chance you will, let me know. winners get a prize.

was looking for a weather feature in the sugarhouse area. how about a towhead, poncho and yellow leaves? yep. done.

shot this while waiting for a press conference at the mouth of big cottonwood canyon.  utah rivers council was expressing their concern about the blm's recommendation to designate of only a handful of utah waterways as wild and scenic and worth preserving.  ironically, this picture is of a metal spillway along cottonwood creek put in place to divert water for culinary use throughout salt lake valley.  for the record, according to the government website, Utah is one of only four states currently without a river under this designation.  currently.... get it?

i was recently culling images for two gallery shows and more istock rejections.  in doing this i realized that almost all of the pictures i selected where taken while on one photo sojourn or another with rhett.  needless to say i should get out with him more often.  in a completely platonic way.  separate tents and all.  maybe share a piece of pie, but only because we were full.  in a big gas guzzling truck with a gun rack. go marriage.
